Burlap and Roses

Shirley, posting today! I really like the challenge for this week.  I love hearts and I love Shabby Chic, so this one was a perfect one for me. I seem to gravitate toward hearts (and stars).

I started my card with a Kraft card base.  The next layer is made with Poison Ivory Curious Metallic Card Stock. Next I used Graphic 45 Botanical Tea paper for the next layer. These layers were adhered together. I used rose ribbon, that was in my stash, to attach to the top of my card base.

I cut a the Poison Ivory heart using the Spellbinders D-Lites Vines of Passion die.  For the texture part of the challenge I used burlap to layer behind the Vines of Passion die cut. I used a Calcutta Mini Seashell burlap flower to decorate the center of the vine heart.

I cut a large heart from Kraft paper, and also cut a smaller heart from the Botanical Tea paper. I adhered them together and added the vine heart on the top of them. I used White Pearls to decorate around the edge of the Kraft heart. The hearts were attached to the card base.

This completes my card for today.  I am happy you came by to view my card.

Would love to see this card, Shirley, but it will not open on this site! I am sure it is beautiful, as always!

I'm not sure what's been happening the past few days, but you should be able to see it now.

Thanks!!

Wow, thanks, Bev!!! Shirley, your card really is awesome - the combination of pink, white and burlap with the rose ribbon is a real winner!! Adding stuff to my wish list - again!
